Hi everybody !
I'm looking to build a set of wheels for my winter/heavyduty-touring bike. So far I found the appropriate rims; Alex DM24 48h. But now I'm looking for a rear hub that has all of the following criterias;
-135mm frame spacing (regular mtn bike)
-48 holes
-non-disc
-if possible not too expensive
-8/9speed

The only one I've seen so far is the tandem Shimano hub but it has 140mm spacing. I'm not sure if I could modify this by using less spacers on the non-driveside and a shorter axle.
Anyway, any input will be appeciated,

You should be able to respace the Shimano hub.
