I'm looking for an old fork:

  • 26er
  • 80-100mm
  • 1-1/8" straight steerer,
  • V-brakes
  • 100 QR

(old bomber? in orange? :)) to upgrade my 1998 Gary Fisher Tequila (Canadian name for the Aquila, see this very rad catalog: https://www.vintage-trek.com/Trek-Fisher-Klein-Lemond/1998specmanualFisher.pdf).

I've got a much newer, longer, slacker, bigger-wheeled, generally "better" hardtail, but I really like the Fisher! It's so much fun on easier trails... but the fork is pretty awful.

The elastomer fork that's on there has (once had?) 50mm of travel. I want to try 80 or 100mm. I figure with proper sag (23 year-old elastomers apparently don't sag at all, ha) it won't bring the front up that much from where it is now (maybe an inch).

Let me know what you've got and what you want for it. Can meet anywhere in the bay.

I have a 2004 Marzocchi Marathon S. It's 115mm though, black, coil n oil with ETA. It needs an oil change. Steerer is cut for a 18" bike. I had a rigid fork built and pulled it off. If interested, I can get you details.
