I just got back from a ski mountaineering trip from marble to crested butte and was amazed at some of the things i saw along the way. Near marble (actually crystal) a cabin got knocked off its' foundation. On top of Emerald lake near Schofield pass (401) there is an 80' pile of snow- it was a hill we had to ski over on top of a flat lake. In the runout of another nearby avie path there were trees which were decapitated 80' above the ground, and the trunks were a couple feet in diameter way up there. I wish i had digi pics to post, it was amazing to see. The evidence will be in the high country all year- the trails will probably need more work than usual when melted out.
