Take a look at the corrosion here. Is this normal? I had these pedals about two months before the pedal started getting stiff. I open them to re-grease & find this. Perhaps it came from the factory without enough grease? I had the same problem on my cro-mo eggbeaters, but not as bad- I specifically paid the extra dollar for the stainless steel spindle SL model to stop this happening. It's not exactly surface rust, at least it doesn't come off with a wipe. Is this rectifiable?

You should maybe shrink the image a bit so they fit the average screen. :skep:

There's an odd surface pattern on the balance of the spindle as well. Contact Crank Brothers, they will help you out.
