I've been reading Lee Mcormack and Brian Lopes' Mastering Mountain bike skills book and it always mentions loading the bike. I've always just done this for fun ever since I got my first suspended bike. The book says to do it on some turns and when coming down the backside of jsut about anything, but it seems like the bike would need to stay loaded for a few seconds. When I load my bike the shock rebound pushes me right back up so it unloads. Can any of you help me figure out how to get this right? Thanks.

More like a fraction of a second.

If you go over a rolling bump suck up the frontside and then push down as you go down the backside. You can feel the bike accelerate. Good riders really work the terrain and pump off everything with a backside.
