It looks like you turned a BB shell to use as the sanding drum (machined off the thickness of the sandpaper).

I was just lightening up the BB. The mandrels for the abrasive miterer are undersized to compensate for the belt, though.

Thats a nice touch on the brake bridge, looks very Deco, are you able to work that detail in anywhere else?

What wall did it start out as and how much were you taking off? I'm thinking EBB shells may be a good candidate for this but not sure about a normal threaded shell
