Anyone know if Little Elden is still closed and if so, where the closures are? (ie, from the sandy seep junction to schultz tank?)
The entire trail is still closed but I'm not sure where it's actually posted as closed. I heard from someone that hiked Little Bear last Saturday that it was not posted as closed at the bottom. I suspect that L. Elden is mostly rideable from Schultz Tank to Little Bear but after the intersection and down to L. Elden spring all bet's are off. In fact, the FS is recommending that most of the trail be rerouted rather than rebuilt. The damage on L. Bear is just incredible. It's going to need bridges to cross some of the ravines excavated to bedrock.

Anyhow, if you have specific questions contact:

Ray last I was up there in late November the area north of Schultz tank was signed as closed. I couldn't tell you about conditions behind there.
