i say lower the fox to 80mm with a spacer and stick the wheel in. running too much sag will make the fork too soft and bottom out

Im looking to lightnen my 7 year old kid bike. I would like to change the 2200 grams almost nonfunctional RST fork.
What are my possibilities?
I have a spare Fox F100RL - will i be a possibility to use that and then sag so much that it will fit?
