So, I'm looking to drop some weight as well as get a tyre that has some edge knobs to dig into our absolutely deep, dry, dusty, loose top soil - about top 3/4-1" is just like tiny marbles, super soft. I know there's the Schwalbe Nobby Nic for a light weight option, just wondering if there's anything else? Know the best would be the Maxxis HR2, but would like to keep the weight under 750g and have some sidewall protection and be over 2.1".

Currently running On-One Smorgasbord 2.25" in the rear and Chunky Monkey 2.4" in the front and neither's edge knobs seem to be offering grip, most especially on this stuff on off camber. Asking for an alternative to the Schwalbe's because, well, honestly they're frikin, damn expensive.
