Nice... beautiful bike! That's a great color. You know what I'm the most impressed with? How perfect your cable lengths are!!! My pet peeve are bikes that look like they came from Walmart... with cable lengths that are WAY too long. Did you do this build up yourself? Or was this direct from Revel?

I built it and I'm picky about cable lengths also. Lots of fiddling to get it right especially where they exit the bottom of the frame.

Since sold it, but here’s a pic

Definitely one of my favorite bikes in recent memory. Just not quite enough travel as a daily driver for my normal rides in Phoenix. Love the suspension. I reached out to Revel and was told adamantly that they had no plans for a longer travel bike. If they put out a 145-150 bike, I’d be all over it.

XL in the Sedona Red (best color, convince me otherwise!) built up by Pro Bike Supply in Newport Beach. GX build, Pike, i9 wheels, 1up carbon bars. Best part (besides the frame) is the holdover saddle from my 26" - I believe a transition bike company saddle that is so comfy I never want to get rid of it.

I absolutely love this bike!! I wanted One bike to rule them all and it is exactly that. I did have to take the chainguide off as I was getting rub in Eagle gear with my 32t oval chainring but not a big deal. Only upgrade I have thought about making is possibly going to 150 fork up front.

I know it's a old post. But how is/was that helm on your rascal? What travel/offset did you run. Considering going to 150 on my rascal and helm is an option. Thanks.
Long story short, I love the HELM. Great fork, and fits really well on the Rascal if you don’t mind the added weight over the Pike. I have it set to 150, and enjoyed it even more than the Pike at 140. Never noticed a difference on the climbs or change in geo. I think the A2C was similar between the 150 Helm and 140 Pike.

With that being said, I ended up getting the ‘23 Lyrik. I had planned on upgrading the frame, so I got the Lyrik based around the 44 degree offset. When I decided to just stick with the Rascal, I already had the Lyrik on there. Some say there isn’t a noticeable difference between a 51 and 44 offset on the Rascal, but I can easily tell the difference. I actually prefer the HELM 51 offset on the Rascal. It’s not that the Lyrik doesn’t feel right, it’s perfectly find, I just prefer the 51 offset. The wheel flop on climbs is more noticeable.

I have kept the HELM because it’s the limited edition color, but unfortunately most new frames are designed around a 44 offset. So if you want the HELM for a Rascal or bike designed around a 51 offset, I’d be more than happy to sell it. I absolutely recommend it, but also know many dislike the HELM due to its services intervals and prices associated with it. Still a great fork in my opinion. Ah…one other thing. The HELM has a poor integration with 200mm HOPE (rotors) brakes. It’s stated on their website, but it was a pain. Zero issue with 180mm rotors.

Thanks for the response, appreciate you taking the time to explain your experience. I noticed that more manufacturers are going away from the 51mm offset fork, Rockshox being it, and seems like even CC doesn't list the 51mm offset fork for order on their site right now. (they are just down the street from me so I do see them at some local events, they did mention potentially going away from 51 at some point).
Did you notice the fork being more noisy than the pike, or the Lyrik at all?
I was actually going similar route as you, and go with s 23 Lyrik 150, was pretty set on it, but the offset thing has been bugging me a bit, 1k is quite a bit for something I might not like. So basically between the Lyrik 150 or CC 150 (but try to get 51mm offset)
Maybe I'll see which one I can find on sale and go with that. I think one thing holding me back from the Helm is the small bump absorption, or at least I heard that it can be a bit of a harsher ride feel if you're not hitting bigger stuff.

Yeah it’s a shame they are moving away from the 51, but as long as the bikes are designed around the 44 ~ 42 offset I don’t see it being a problem. The limited edition Helm I bought earlier this year actually only came in the 44, but I asked if they would swap to the 51 and they agreed to do so. So I’m guessing this is probably the only 51 LE MK2 out there. Part of the reason why it’ll be hard to sell it unless it’s going to someone with a Rascal or similar.

As for the difference, yes it was a tad more harsh than the Lyrik off the top, but to be fair just about everything is. That’s probably RS’s biggest strength. It wasn’t so much that I decided to go with the Lyrik over the Helm though. It certainly held its own. From a noisy standpoint, the Helm reminded me a lot of Fox shocks I had. They always made a dull squishy sort of sound. RS Lyrik is silent, but again, not a deal breaker. My older 36 Fox was probably louder than the Helm.
