The date for the Shasta Lemurian is Saturday April 24. The race starts at 9 am and race day registration opens at 7 am. We've changed the web address to shastalemurian.com The mail in entry form is up on the site, we should have reg available through active.com in a couple of weeks.

There's a new Lemurian video available on youtube
This video does a pretty good job with the Couch section of the course. It shows guys flying over the metal bridge, negotiating one of the gnarly root sections, and riding the drop into the small creek at the bottom. Pay particular attention to the last guy in the creek segment, he rails it to the drop and then launches a manual nearly across the creek. AWESOME!

Apparently some Colorado guys were on a NorCal tour last year and raced Lemurian. Here's a race summary:

Last spring, while on the now infamous four week long Norcal Squirt Lube tour, Dewet and myself ran into this race one weekend outside of Redding, Cali, the Shasta Lemurian. It was one of the most fun races I've ever done, with brutal climbs and balls out descending over all kinds of crazy loose, rooty, rutted terrain. This is one you should all go do before you leave this earth, it's just a juker of a ride. I even made the cut droppin the bridge after the opening credit over the moss clump. The Felt 29er was rockin it that day

I remember that drop into the creek ... my 100mm fork went through all of its travel. I think I took it a bit too slow, almost did an endo but was able to step off and walk the rest. Gunna be riding the Reign instead of the Epic this time around ... same weight anyway.

I walked that drop on every preride last winter. But when I marked the course a couple of days before the race I noticed that the drop had been rounded off from all the bike traffic. If I could learn to manual like that last guy it wouldn't be an issue at all. That guy rocks:cool:
Is there not a category for Senior Women 18-34...I don't see it on the registration page:confused:

The only women categories listed are Pro, Veteran 35+, and Single Speed
