I have an 07 f29 with a lefty (dlr2 I believe?) that is losing air pressure while riding. Sometimes its only 10 psi or so... sometimes 40 or 50.

I suspect the shcraeder valve is the culprit. I have tried re seating the valve and tightening it periodically with the appropriate tool.

I am still getting this slow leak. On longer rides I stop halfway through and check the psi and fill as appropriate. It seems the more prolonged exposure to wash boards or small bumps makes it leak more. That could be in my head though, who knows.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there something I am over looking in terms of something I can fix myself?

Have you actually tried replacing the valve core or placing a little dish liquid over the stem to see if perhaps this is the culprit.

No doubt the easiest fix.

If it's not the valve core, it's the air piston seals, most likely. Yep, time for a service.

Upon further inspection I see nothing wrong with the valve core.

Mendoncyclesmith was recommended to me by the guy that sold me the bike a few months back. I had a feeling I would be sending my lefty your way before the summer was out. Thanks guys!
