I just got a used Lefty Max SPV from eBay, and there's only one split ring beneath the top cap. I've already contacted the seller, and he will try to send me an additional one. But as it might take some time for the ring to get to me (I'm in Europe, and the fork's from the USA), do you think it would damage the fork in any way by riding with just one split ring? Thanks!

It might put some extra strain on the one you have, and on one side only of the top cap thread. It could hurt, it could not hurt, I'd prefer riding with two of them personally.
