ok, i live in vegas where it doesn't get that cold but it does get into the 20's at night. i keep my bikes in the garage, and my most recent bike has a fox dhx air and a pike 454 up front. this is my first bike with higher end suspension setup, and my question is whether or not its bad to keep them in the cold like that ie. seals drying out, oil thickening up and causing some weird problem when i ride? might just be paranoid...any insight from you people who live in areas where you get actual "winter" weather. is there any specific maintenance you need to do during the cold months?

My Fox TALAS X fork sets up in 30 minutes, at -20C. The bump sensor just doesnot lift off so it goes rigid.

It seems to thaw out and work fine afterward.

The Fox RC3 Talas shock does not seem to set-up at -33C.

Rode a Marzocchi EXR PRO last year seemed to set-up a bit at -25 C.

Fox R did not set-up.

Might hurt the seals a bit, but not sos I noticed.

Riding it when it's -20C you might get some leakage (air or oil) but like was said, after it warms up out of storage the oil and seals should be normal.

Would be a good habit to check your air pressures before a ride.
