Hello, I got a brand new 29er and am running tubeless for the first time. Also new to Presta valves. I'm finding that I need to verify my tire pressure and top off before each and every ride, even if rides are as little as 7 days apart (bike stored in insulated garage). Is this normal? I thought maybe I got a bad tire, but it's actually both wheels.

Thanks for your help.

Yup. I check my tire pressure before every ride.
Well, maybe not if it's two days in a row. But it's not uncommon for my tires to lead down a pound or two in just a few days.
Whatever. It's like putting my shoes on -- I do this before every ride, too. :)

I recently put on a set of Maxxis Ardent tubeless. I went a little light with the stans sealant. Rear tire needed about 10-15 floor pump strokes before each ride(daily) front maybe every 5 days. Drained sealant, shook sealant bottle better this time and added fresh recommended amount. Much better now. Those sidewalls definitely leak.
I'm switching to orange sealant btw.

29 x 2.6 xr4 holds air just fine, I check before every ride regardless. 29 x 2.4 xr4 goes soft with in a few days. :( I do have one plug in it. Fresh sealant hasn't helped either. Some tires just loose air faster than others I guess.
