"Time flies when you're havin' fun" has proven true for my son and I in 2007. I'm not much
for making New Years Resolutions, but at the end of 2006 we both decided to ride more
places and put more miles on the mountain bikes in 2007. Well, we did that and now
face the end of another year and what a year it has been. Full of more memories than
a person could remember with the aid of our picture taking devices. That's why our Biking
Memories 2007 Album contains 1049 images of the most exciting riding we've ever done.
That, my friends, is another post in itself.

Anyway, yesterday we faced the fact that our ride would be the last one for 2007 and only
fitting that it be on December 31st. On a brighter note, Scott24 received a new picture
taking device for Christmas which adds another camera to our riding adventures. Maybe
he'll catch the photo opportunities I miss. He put it to the test on our last ride of 2007 so
we'll both share the images putting 2007 to bed from Mountwood Park.

Finding those climbs a little difficult after several weeks of not riding.

Scott24 captures a few images of the old man with his new camera.

Scott24 catching up after his photography stop.

Of course it's only fitting to give the ride a feed break. Only problem is they keep
dumping you into the weeds every time you pass a good patch.

Hitting the downhills with caution was a rule. It was a little bit slippery in spots.

Enjoying the singletrack and mild obsticles.

Of course no ride at Mountwood is fitting without a blast down Haystack Trail.

2007 has been great and our hope for 2008 is to enjoy at least as much as we did
in 2007. And it would be even better if we enjoyed more. Best wishes to everyone
in the new year and we hope you enjoy the passion of riding even more.

Great post!!
I'm sitting here watching it snow and itchin to ride.
The wife and I were just talking about when we are going to take our beach vacation this year. I told her that I'll have to save a couple of weeks vacation for bike trips.
That got me thinking of our past gatherings.
Man I can't wait to be back on the trail this summer and back at the campground with the gang from the Slatyfork Shuffle.
I didn't get to do much riding in 2007. I didn't even get to ride Red Run in 2007.
I'll have to make up for that this year.
Here's hoping 2008 will be a great year.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, RIGHT !
Your gift is a muddy used tire taken off the bike right after riding
Kennison Mountain Trail ! ! ! ! ! And, to top it off we'll throw in a
couple empty bottles of your favorite beer. Just let me know what
brand, I'll drink them and get the bottles to you before the muddy
tire.. :D

Seriously seeing that picture makes me want to ride it already.
Bet you couldn't ride it right now, lest you can mount snow shoes
on your bike  . It had 6" of snow on it the Fri. and Sat. before
Christmas, I'd hate to see it right now....

Let's just hope Kennison doesn't have as many trees down this year.
All those trees just kill the Kennison buzz!!!

My first trip up that way will likely be early in the year and it will be to haul an item around
in my large backpack to alleviate those fallen trees, if you get my drift. I'll drop you
and davis a PM when I plan that one. Maybe we can hit Turkey Point ? at that time also.

Can always count on ODN for some ride stoke.

Looks like the shoulder isn't treating you too badly.

My resolution is to get off my fat arse this Winter/Spring so I can get out more once this next 6 months is over. I need the motivation, so keep the pics coming.

Tass, thanks a bunch. Good to see you survived the holidays. Yea, the shoulder isn't
doing bad at all. I signed off here a little while ago and started to get dressed for our
first ride in the snow and then heard that awefull sound of rain. Sure enough, it's raining!
37 degrees and raining isn't good so guess I'll just have to wait and see if tomorrow will
be better.

I'll try to keep the posts coming but if you see a good Sat. or Sun. coming and want
to get in a ride somewhere, let me know. Scott and I would be glad to join you for a ride.
