Rode Case Mt. Today, took a nice big loop led by Jisch on some sections I'd never seen before. Met up with another mtb'r named Cliff, who does things on a rigid singlespeed I can't do on my 575.. Humbling I tell ya'.. Anyways, it was a great ride, dry and great weather with some great riders. Need I say more?

As far as places I've ridden bikes, I think Case is up in the top 10 or so. I just like the variety. From rhododendron tunnels to pines to rocky minefields and slickrock, it has it all. Enough talk, here are some pictures.

Cliff, being fast:

Me, taking an alternative line. Not on purpose, but seemed to work out alright:

Cliff, doing something I didn't want to do on a fully on his SS:

John doing the same thing:

This part of the trail still kinda creeps me out:

Man, that camera takes some nice pics. When I get some cash, I'm going to look into getting one of those.

That was a fun ride today. Maybe a flat or two too many, but who whatya gonna do? Can't complain about that weather! I'm psyched you made the slickrock climb, that thing is a monumental effort.

I hope your trip out west goes well - its been great riding with you here and there over the last year or so.

Nice shots and good write-up

don't know why it's the last ride (hopefully not a new subdivision)

We've got a trail like that here on the Norshore: runs across the bottom of Mt. Seymour (Bridle-path) Few, if any, can clean it, and it's never boring or out of vogue. No hucks, no drops, just dang engaging and challenging. Those can be the best trails on earth, I'm sure Mt. Case is like that too.

Damn fine shots!

What? Was this a trade for Scubby??

Jessep's moving away to Colorado, Case is still here in CT and open. 'tis a sweet piece of mountain biking, though perhaps "tasted" by a few too many.

Jessep, give us a shout when you get out. I live in Longmont (Scubby's old stomping grounds) would love to show you around.

Thanks for the compliments. Does that mean I have to negotiate for a contract now?

Moving towards the end of this week, once I figure out how to put my life back into my car. Moving to CO springs, right next to Palmer Park. So Case will always be here. Maybe I will come back and ride it, who knows...

Yeah John, SLR's are great, especially well in the woods of CT where there isn't ever enough light. Sort of a pain to carry around though, but worth it.
