hi there all
i'm doing a no-tubes conversion using Larsen TT tires. I want to go minimal weight but I'm just wondering if the exception series will be not durable enough to use with no tubes?

I notice that it's another 60gm to go to the extra durability of the standard 60 tpi Larsen. what do I do? should i incur the extra weight for the durability.

this is a race wheelset but I'd hate a sidewall blowout

thanks for any comments.

Yes, they inflate well, don't lose air and work great...until you hit a sharp rock etc. As they are light, they are not the most durable and have cost me a win in a race using with Stan's. But hey, you want light weight etc, you end up taking risks, but isn't that what this sport is all about?!? :D

I have run Stan's in a number of Maxxis exception tires such as High Roller, Crossmark, TT and they all are pretty much the same. Ironically, I have had more success with Kendas which dont recommend Stans..
