Anyone know if this is open to riders? I live in Mechanicsburg and this would be awesome to hit the trails there. I do the gap climbs on the road a lot and saw some MTB'ers there the other day...

There was an old thread on here (started 2012ish) that asked this. The consensus is no, they are not legal.

Yeah I saw that thread when I did a search. I found some other threads on various sites that said some of the trails are open. Supposedly they are marked green, but wanted to check. I'll just have to venture up there some day I guess

The only trails I have seen marked green are relatively overgrown doubletrack. All of the single track is either marked no horses/bikes or is unmarked. I believe unmarked defaults to illegal.

All that being said, I frequently do hill repeats there as well and have seen a ranger there 2x in 9 years living here. I also have seen mtn bikers parked there and seen evidence of them riding the trails there. I wouldn't park there with your bike on the car if you don't want to get caught or don't want to draw any unwanted attention.

Hmm well that sucks! I do a lot of road training around that area. Was hoping to get some dirt miles close by without having to drive to York.
