Lake to Lake North, anybody else in?

I just registered for the event. It happens August 15th in the Orillia area. The classic was great, so I thought I might try this one. I always have a great time at all of the races/events i attend. It is a great chance to ride trails I would otherwise not get to. I think this event will be relatively small in comparisson to the classic. Maybe because of the location, or maybe because it is the first year for the "North" event. So far only 171 riders are registered. Who knows, maybe if the attendence is low i might have a better chance to win my age group ;) ya never know.

Is there anyone else considering this event?

how hard's the course?

says single and doubletrack. would it be possible to cross it? hmmm, i might be interested.
I was definitely going to enter, got outa shape on my vacation, only a maybe now. My rear wheel is starting to make funny sounds, too. I'll go for a coupla rides at the cottage this weekend, will decide for sure on Monday.
I am thinking about it...

Since you done Classic, could you please explain how they organize the transportation of bikes & riders from the finish to the start area. Are you traveling without your bike (bikes are shipped separately)? I don't know if I like that kind of concept
Transportation.

How it works at the classic, is all the bikes are loaded up into a u-haul type truck. You travel seperately in a school bus. Personally i do not like that idea myself. Thats why my dad is there for me. He drops me off at the start, and meets me at the finish. I am lucky. :) I would personally not allow my $1000+ bike to be put into a truck with 100 others. I am sure there are few/no incidents, but thats just how i feel. Many people don't seem to mind though.
Thanks for the info...

Looks like we are going to "utilize" my friend's father w/van to serve as a shuttle service.
At this point 2 of us are going, there is a chance 2 - 3 more may decide to join.
cool

I definitely think that getting your own "shuttle" is the best way to go. Hope the course is nice, and everything goes well. Good luck to ya.
News Flash.

To anybody who is still debating:

"Online Registration will close at noon on Friday! You may still register in person at the Heights of Horseshoe on Saturday from 12-4 pm"
