The Kuat Transfer seems to be among one of the cheaper "No Frame Contact" platform hitch racks available. It's also one of the lightest at 20lbs for a single tray.

The downside? It's limited to 47" wheelbase.

For comparison's sake - a Guerrilla Gravity Revved Smash Size 4 has a wheelbase of about 50".

Anybody know if there is a way to fit longer wheelbase bikes on the Transfer?

Sorry to revive an old thread, but what did you end up choosing for a rack? I have a size 3 Smash and am looking at the Sherpa, which also specifies maximum 47" wheelbase.

Rockymounts Monorail fits wheelbases up to 49". And I believe they are on sale now.

I have a mojo 3 but no idea what the wheelbase is. It fits perfectly and I can reduce it to fit my son's 24 in mountain bike no problem. I also used to put his 20in BMX bike on it. But I don't think I can go the other way and make it longer.
