I have just serviced and old (probably the original model) KS Lev and wondering if I've done something wrong. Dropper is working fine, however there's an initial jolt of movement when I'm sitting on the saddle and push the lever to initiate the dropper. This jolt is more significant than I've felt on my other droppers but I don't have any KS posts that I've used before, the jolt doesn't happen if I don't have my full weight on the saddle when I push the lever so it's like maybe there was a bit of air in the post when I reassembled? Would think I'd see that as post sag rather than what I'm currently feeling however. Or too high or low psi on the air side?

I also can't quite get the full drop of the post, maybe 10-15mm short, if that rings any bells with people.

So, does anyone have experience with KS posts, and if the original versions have a slightly different feel to newer posts?

Thanks

I've rebuilt several Lev post including the original externally routed one. The procedure of rebuilding the cartridges is the same. Have you checked the Lev rebuild thread? KS LEV - DIY Cartridge Rebuild

Maybe some oil got into the air side and is preventing full travel or IFP was installed in the wrong position? I agree that if air is trapped in the system you'd have play (squish) in the post. Not sure about any jolting feeling. The drop on my Lev feels similar to my OneUp and Fox droppers. I don't know if I normally drop with all my weight on the post though. I never really thought about it but probably not. What psi do you have the air?

Thanks, yeah I did look at that thread and follow through with it to do my overhaul. I think my psi is 150-200 ish. I am leaning towards the IFP maybe being slightly incorrect. Will maybe use it for a while and see if it just needs a bit of a work in period seeing as it was pretty neglected when i purchased it.
