Have the chance to buy either of these at the same price.

Seems to me the Fuji has better components but I have always liked Konas design.

Options:
Kona Tanuki Deluxe
Fuji Reveal 2.0
(Sorry system wouldn't let me post links)

I ride pretty aggressive XC and want to step up to an all mountain/enduro type bike. I am able to get these at a great price and want to jump on one asap.

An help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Seems that my reply is late, but I write my opinion anyway. Definitely Kona if those area the options. Just looking Fujis 69.5 head angle makes me shiver. I've only ridden the Tanuki model (not deluxe) and that's really good and balanced bike, suits well the purpose that you shortly described.

Both these bikes are on sale and right around 1K (Kona $1,049.00- Fuji $1,149.00).....

Sorry to bring this up but anyone have any thoughts on which one would be a better deal?

Of the 2 the Kona seems to be the better all around bike. From what I remember the components are definitely better on the reveal thou. Ive moved on from both of these thou. looking at the Kona Hei Hei 29er now. The more I look into it and talk to other rider, 29er is the way to go. Especially for me being 6'4 210.

Thanks for the insight. This will be my first full sus rig and I am moving from my 22LB Scott HT.. I am also a larger rider @ 6'0 240...

The Fuji looks to have better comp but the Frame looks better on the Kona...

I just ordered the kona tanuki deluxe online yesterday. For the deal I couldn't resist since I've been thinking about a fs for awhile. I looked at the Fiji as well but decided the kona was best for the money. I can't wait till it gets here! Let us know the final decision.....either way you will be happy.

I am in the market to buy my first "real" mountain bike. I have had my radar on the Reveal 2.0 for such a long time and I was about to commit, but now I am not sure. I thought the Reveal was the better deal with all the better quality components and the lock out features on both the front and rear shocks. Can you explain to me the difference between the head angle of each bike and why the fuji's 69.5 is scary?

Thanks for all the help.

Carbon, when did you order your Kona? I placed my order on Saturday with expedited shipping, and it's still not going to get to me until tues-weds of next week. I called HucknRoll where I bought it through and they said they are so backed up with orders that they can't build the bikes fast enough. I Was looking forward to riding it ASAP, but it looks like I'm going to have to take a deep breath and wait for my new baby to get here.
