Hey all. I bought a 2014 Kona Rove the other week, and although I only have a few hundred miles on it so far I really love it. It's been stealing me away from my MTBs which is something I never expected. I'm also considering a Unit, and having 2 steel framed Konas got me thinking about internal rust protection.

I've read that QPB has started to ED their steel frames to provide internal rust protection, but I can't find anything about Kona's practices. I've sent an email to Kona and haven't received a reply yet, so I'm hoping to get some intel here on MTBR.

Does Kona do anything to protect the insides of their steel frames?

I'm hoping they do something so that I don't have to strip the components to apply Framesaver, but I'll do it if needed since I intend to ride this bike in all weather.
