Kona expensive or Devinci cheap?

Hi

Not sure wether to ask this here or on the canadian bike thread but considering there is never more than 3 people on it I thought I'd try here.

I've had several Konas and still have one as an XC bike and I love them. I wanted to upgrade from the 05 Shred I bought (loved it but thought I'd go for something with higher end components on..) After having sold it I came across an ad for Devinci Hucker (HT, drop off 13mm etc)

Thing is its a good $200 cheaper than the Stuff and better equipped IMO.

This makes me think Kona are perhaps not great value or that the Devinici is so cheap for a reason (ie its cr*p)

I really don't want to be disloyal to kona ! I've had vaious ones since 1996!!!

Anyone have any thoughts? If you think I should stuff (!) this on the Devinci thread instead pls tell me!

Thanks

Kona is without a doubt very expensive, but then again so are Devincis usually becuase they are all handcrafted. But the answer to your main question is that you can get a better component spec from another company for less money than a Kona

I own a 2005 stuff and love it, I was looking at a Hucker, but it is 300$ more actually, I don't know where you live for it to be cheaper than the Kona?
Hi snaky69, I'm in the UK.

I really like the Stuff, I had a look at one a week ago in my LBS. But here its £850 (approx $1530 US) whereas the Devinci is £730 ($1350 US).

I think we get somewhat shafted in the UK as far as bike prices go :(
