Any one riding withan a knee replacement? Doc told me yesterday that my right knee is unrepairable. I trying cortisone for the time being, but a new knee is in the future. I'm not a freerider or DH'er, just crosscountry. Sedona, McDowell Mtn-that sort of thing.

I'm just wondering if I should try to stretch it out until winter or get it over with now. I would sure hate to miss Tour of the White Mtns.

I'm probably going to have both knees replaced eventually. Right now bike riding is about the only vigorous outdoor activity I can still do. I don't count swimming. I suppose I could take up kayaking.

One reason I've been reluctant to get replacements is that I'm afraid I'll be told to give up real mountain biking, with the always present danger of banging the knee when crashing.

What have you heard about this?
