At age 47 my knees are creaky and I find using a knee brace while riding really helps with the pain. I've been using a basic slip on brace that I ordered online for 30.00 as far as offering any crash protection I don't think it can offer much.

Has anyone seen a knee brace that also has padding? The kneed pads I own now- race face, fox are loose around the knee so there is no support. Guess I could put pad over my brace and will try it but not very breathable I would imagine. Thank you.

Also check out Asterisk braces though they are more heavy duty looking than Leatt. These are all braces meant for DH or motocross so they will have impact protection.
