If you're hankerin' to dust off or rebuild your old klunker for old time sake in the pursuit of pleasure then come celebrate Bicycle Day on April 19th on the Mendocino coast for a retro grouch bike ride. We are celebrating Albert Hofmann's epic ride home in 1943 from his far out lab in Switzerland. His discoveries changed the world as we now know it.

This iconic ride will begin at the Scales in Caspar at 11AM Saturday April 19th. Bring your oldest two wheel conveyance and spend a fun time riding to Beer Joint for libations and whatevers. No fee, just a prelude to a wreckreational weekend...!

Possible route for Bicycle Day - Depending on Condition of riders

lol ^^^^.

Loved the 1943 image.
The way out... is to ride through it!

No electric easter eggs...

The Klunkin route will begin at the Caspar Scales. Here is one possible route:

The event is coming soon. Back to the future of Mtb riding and fun. Flannel and jeans optional...

Ride for yourself, question trail designations...

Throughout human history, as our sport has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or which trail we are riding in this forest of chaos, it has been the authorities: The rangers, the regional parks directors, the forest service authorities who have attempted to . . . comfort us . . . by giving us . . . Trails. Trail etiquette. Wilderness designations. Informing, forming in our minds their view of mountain biking.
