Hi All,

I have a Kinetic rock and roll trainer that I'm borrowing from a friend while I recover from injury. Looking to see if anyone has had this issue and may have a fix.

Basically its like the resistance is stuck. So even on flat ground or downhill I have to pedal extremely hard to move at all. I am using the trainer with zwift

I've tried power cycling the trainer, calibrating it countless times, and using it with the native kinetic app and still the same thing.

Whats weird is when I run it through calibration the resistance does release so it works resistance free during calibration as it should. But then it goes back to being really hard again.

Pic attached of which trainer I am using if that helps at all. Thank you for your time

It sounds like the calibration isn’t being stored. Maybe contact kinetic tech support?

Kinetic responded to my questions in less than two hours, so contacting them would be a good start.

Their site has a replacement parts link- if it turns out that the main control board is bad and the ones shows match the trainer you're using, the price isn't high.
