Anyone know of the best place to rent DH bikes at Keystone? It says they rent for $95 for a full day on their website, but are there any local bike shops that rent for cheaper? Any help is mucho appreciated.

There is a bike shop in the village, but the service was terrible. They do have some nice rigs that seemed to be in good shape. I will say though, the mechanic was a complete jerk. I will give you a few examples:

They will rent a bike for two hours starting at 9:00 am but not tell you that the lifts dont start until 10:00. Good luck pushing your DH rig up the hill and make sure you are back by 11:00 with your two hour rental.

Even though they open at 9:00, you will have to wait until 9:15-9:30 to get service because the staff is too busy dealing with their hangovers and whatever drama their are dealing with at the time.

They dont have standard DH tubes in stock (we have 24 inch tires!!)

Myself and three other customers all had examples of poor service.

BTW, if you are from Keystone sports and reading this, I was the guy with the stuck casset. I hope the three minutes you spent working on my wheel was not overly traumatic. Here is a tip, if you dont like your job, get a new one.

Yes I am ranting, but JC guys, you could certainly do a whole let better with just a little bit more effort.

I've heard good things about the shop in Breck by City Market (Great Adventure I think). Of course that means you've got to drive to Breck, over Swan Mountian to Keystone, and then return it when you're done. I'm trying to remember who it was who rented from them, but they had the best price and gave him good service...
