After having lingered on this forum for the better part of two years the TNT-horrors made me finally jump to secure me a HL spot! Having analyzed the various builds represented on this board, I´ve come up with below specs. As nothing´s yet set feel free to comment away and help me get Kermit the build it deserves... thanks

Looks great but I'd do a King headset (why anything else??) and a Sram trigger shifter/rear der combo.

Lovely, all I would suggest is a rollamajig and a long cage rear mech and 2.10 tyre at the rear.
Oh and ditto on the CK headset.

the 31.8 s/post may be a issue as well. turner uses a 27.2 on everything as far as i know. i agree with prof. the short cage xtr will pretty much destroy the cogs, rings, crank, chain and hanger on the first missed shift not to mention feel a bit draggy on some gear combos and prematurly kill a chain that needs no help diein a quick death. a 2.1 might be a better way to go unless its gona fall off everything in its path or yer a big guy. have fun collecting yer bits!

Beautiful Frame

Echo what Tscheezy said about the Sram Trigger/derailer combo--I use the X9s. I have not ghost or mis-shifted in 1.5 years of using them. You also don't get chain slap with Sram.

the 31.8 is referring to the Thomson stem not the seatpost. It is for oversized bars. It seem like most people are heading this direction. He is not getting a thomson post.

Sweet looking frame!! I love it!!

Ditto on the Sram components. I have a XO rear mech and a X9 trigger, both 2 years old and I've had nothing but smooth, hassle free performance. I would also get a quick release seatpost clamp (Salsa,Hope). Other than that you look good.

I think it's all a royal mess and you should just give up and send me that frame and start from scratch with something else....hehe. No, seriously, the Pike will be awesome but go with a King headset...in a different frame! I just want that green for a Spot of mine.
