Kentucky / S Ohio Trip Help Please!!!

We're looking to make a trip to Kentucky / S Ohio for a camping / riding hiatus. We need around three days of good XC riding. We also want to camp or stay at some kind of primitive cabin, optimally at the trails. Showers are good. After some research (strictly on trails) it seems like the decision is between the Louisville and the Morehead area, but we're open for suggestions. Any help / suggestions would be extremely appreciated. Oh yeah, it wouldn't be bad to hit a bar one night. Thanks in advance.

I'd say...

Go visit HMBA (www.hmba.org) and ask about Cave Run KY. Supposed to be a great place to go riding, have not made it there, yet.

check out otter creek, nice trails plus camping, even had a shower facility. Camped out there a few years ago and had a blast.
Check out singletrack.net. I think that is Kentucky's trail site.
Northern Kentucky

I love Tower Park in Ft Thomas Ky - Right across the river from Cincinnati Very technical singletrack- Not very long, only a few miles. Great descent down from the trailhead to the riverbanks

Probably the best in Northern KY right now is Englund Idelwild park in Burlington KY- Approx 8 miles of a variety of trails- Fast flowing trails (intermediate and advanced loop) and fun technical stuff (technical loop) Its very close to the Cincinnati airport (which is located in Northern Kentucky)

I ride both places alot and love them both- Here's a link to Englund Idelwild MTB Trails Website

East Fork park in Amelia Ohio is also a great place with some awesome new singletrack

Here is a link to CORA's webiste (Cincinnati Off Road Alliance) which shows all the trails in the area -

Enjoy!

Cave run is a good riding area, but I've only camped there, and Ft. Duffield by Louisville is fun.
