Rode it Sunday. We turned around at the creek that starts the climb to Georgia and opted to do a couple laps on the fun singletrack sections instead. I asked the other riders out and about and they said it was rideable to the top with one little hike a bike drift section.

Most wankers who go to the top trudge AROUND the snow drifts and beat the piss out of the apline tundra defeating the purpose of a having a trail (minimizing impact to nature, etc...). I say give it another two weeks and it'll be good.

Gotta go hug a tree now...

ciao

Gee Rick/Joel...thks guys. I'm honored that you would want me to handle the shuttling. You should ask around at how good I am at shuttling...

I have some friends coming to visit in two weeks, just after the 4th. I plan to do it then.

Did it on 6/11

You could easily make it to the top with a few short and one longish hike through the snow. I'm sure the only one left by now is the large one you see in the photo. It was locals only day too. We met up with at bunch of folks that we knew up there, even gave Kirk his $10 on the trail, that was tight. There was a lot of snow on the approach to Jefferson Creek, but the trail was exposed when you looked down into the bowl.

We hiked through the snow. That was tight.

5 bikes and 5 gears between us. Went down to 4 near the top, but had 5 again on they way back when we hit the trees. That was tight.

Cole (miSSionary), Ed (edemtb), Spike (I don't know his handle on here) and myself at the top. That was tight.

The memory of 13 people in the Exploder still gives me the shudders. How we made it up to the pass without barrelrolling it is beyond me.
