Usually when we're in Durango we try and stay away from the crowds. We've always ridden Kennebec the "other way"...from Junction Creek camp ground up the forrest rd to the Colorado Trail. This year we'd like to go around the other way from town and actually make it thru the pass.

Isn't there a 4th of July ride (of Kennebec) from town? What time and from what place?

Thanks,
CBaron

I don't think there is an organized ride on the 4th, just something folks go out and do.

Fair enough then..see you all out there.

One of my friends is out there already and he said its rained 3 outa 4 days now. I know it is what it is but it seems kinds early for every day rains. I didn't think that got going til end of July?

I guess we will have to get early starts. Like I said, were planning on doing Kennebec from town and also do Bolam to Blackhawk Pass. Last year we came down from the CO trail at Hotel Draw but we'd like to continue on down to Coral Draw and come back on the Hermosa Trail. I can't wait!

We're looking at doing a shuttle of it tomorrow morning. 7am at the South City Market parking lot. We're full up right now, but if anyone wants to drive up to the trailhead, park at the end of the pavement & ride with us we can get you back to your vehicle afterwards.
