I'm changing out the internal bb for an external and I'm using 12x148 on the rear hub. For the 73mm external bb do I use one spacer on the drive side even though I'm using Shimano xt boost cranks? I did this on my older Santa Cruz but it was different set up.

I think that is what Shimano recommends. I followed the instructions and all seems to work well. I am using an XT Boost crank with a Wolftooth chainring.
