I may have the opportunity to ride KSF this Saturday (Feb. 2), but it's a 2 hour drive (plus a stop off at my parents to drop of my 2-year-old) if I want to go down there, so I don't want to make the trip if it's not going to be decent riding.

'round my neck of the woods, the trails are soup with little chance of them being anything but soup for at least the next week or so. Does anyone know if KSF is in similar condition, or is it dry enough to still maybe be in decent shape even the the forecasted showers on Friday?

A buddy and I rode KFS Sunday and it was mixed conditions. On the shaded trails it was still frozen and nice, the service roads and the trails in the sun were soup. Black Bear was bone dry, fast & fun. Its steep enough to drain quickly.

Its rained all day today and I dont think the temps are suppose to drop enough to freeze everything thoroughly. It might be sloppy, but any day on the bike is a good day.

The conditions might not be ideal, but if its windy it may dry up a little.
