K2 Lithium 4.0 Replacement

Hi everyone! I'm new to these forums :D

I recently purchased a used K2 Lithium 4.0 (2004 model) and the bottom cover on the shifter is missing. I'd like to find a new cover, but I'm having trouble...

Does anyone know of where I could find one? If not, what would be a similar shifter or a moderate upgrade instead?

I'm not completely sure (the bikes in the shop getting a tune up), but bikepedia says it's a Shimano Deore RapidFire.

I get it back on the 24th. I'll have to check to figure out which one it's on.
