here are a few pic's of my winter project. it's a 01' K2 brass monkey frame that has been collecting dust in my basement. I cut the seat and chain stays where they connect to the bb and seat tube. I used 3/8 solid aluminum stock to make up the new parts. now I've got 4 1/16 clearance top and bottom. it isn't the prettiest thing but, everything is straight and true. still waiting on my fork and ol' Larry.

What'd you do for heat treatment?

aged at 400 degrees for about 1/2 hour. not the whole thing just the affected area.
