K-Max's Bike Swap + Grill & Swill Party: Sunday, June 28
You're invited to our place in Morgan Hill to hang out, trade some parts and enjoy some tasty food and beverage, overlooking the beautiful Coyote Valley. Bring your box of parts and help yourself or somebody else either clear out the garage or complete a build. We'll start the party in the afternoon in case a ride plan forms for the morning. There are plenty of options with Henry Coe and Harvey Bear Parks in close proximity.
Date: Sunday, June 28
Time: 3 PM
Place: 3740 Oak Canyon Lane, Morgan Hill, CA MAP
Food: Bring your own grillable. Self-service grilling! Or feel free to bring a favorite side dish. We'll also have some sides for all to share.
Drink: I'll provide a cold keg of pale/IPA from either Seabright Brewery or Santa Cruz Ale Works. We'll also have sodas available.
Cost: $10 suggested donation gets you beer and a(nother) Downieville pint glass! (I've got 32 that I need to offload, and kegs cut down on garbage) After that, whatever/however you work out the bike part transaction is up to you.
Riding: Feel free to organize a ride. I say keep the group size small, this is not the Fall Circus, and that way everyone gets back in time to hang out and do their bidding.
Ample parking is available along Oak Canyon Drive. It is a private and quiet community, so safe for your bikes and car. (You can park in my driveway, but you may be blocked in if someone parks behind you.)
Personally, I would love to build up a lightweight 26" XC bike out of the Jericho frame pictured, so I'm looking for some light wheels, cranks, drivetrain, etc. I have an older steel frame with reverse track mounts, and a scattering of other miscellaneous parts. This will be fun to see how far I can get from an afternoon of negotiating!

How 'bout 10 miles up a deserted, dead-end road to a campsite, then a 6am departure? Man this sounds like a ton of fun and I actually have a ton of parts that I need to offload....if I was closer I would try to swing by for at least an hour, but it's a big trek to Morgan Hill for me.
