My bdot collection. Thought some of you would want to see it. No, you can't. Don't ask. :)
Cool!
The True Temper decals and what looks to be fork crown decals are the stand outs IMO.

That's a fine collection. I'm a decal fan myself...how did you come upon all of those? Collecting over time, or all at once?

First off, OH MY!! Methinks I sprouted a woody! Secondly, if you "...think you picked two too many", then how about sharing the wealth a tad?? My '96 Race never did have a "Handmade in USA...TruTemper..." decal...why is that do you suppose? I really dig decals that mean something to me for whatever reason or another, but Bontrager and decals together...may be enough to bust out a tube sock or two. hehehe. Very, very nice collection!!!

Dose were on the Trek-made Bont-ragers. So I guess that makes your 96 Race an original Santa (clause) Cruz. :D
I knew it was a Santa Cruz frame 'cuz the previous owner ordered it from there. He didn't front any paperwork, but his word was good enough. If you knew him (Guitar Ted), you'd believe him too...just not a bad bone in his body. Anyhoo, I thought I remembered seeing a downtube decal on one or more bikes. She isn't wearing anything anymore!!

Now I know what you mean

Yeah, I wish I had some of those . . .Bontrager made in Santa Cruz decals. Round and Black or White ink on clear vinyl . . .A perfect repro opportunity. Simple to do.

No way, the rastas are the bestest. Are you sure I can't ask? I got a couple of large Bontrager shirts that I never wear. One worn once or twice, the other a bit more.

The only Bontrager that were not made in Santa Cruz were the Privateers, Ti Lite and BMX bikes. Privateers and BMX were built in Wisconsin, and the Ti frames were contracted out.

If you have a Race or Race Lite i is absolutely Santa Cruz built. Trek purchased Bontrager in '94 or so. There were many Race/Race Lite frames built after the Trek purcahse, but they were still made in Santa Cruz. The only difference was the tubes were cut to length and mitered in Wisconsin before being assembled and welded in Santa Cruz. Trek put money into the Santa Cruz factory and planned to keep it, but my the late '90s steel bikes did not sell so production stopped.
