I have a 2018 R3 that I was intimidated to do the pivot service on due to some horror stories here and elsewhere. Three of the four were super easy to do, while the uppermost gave me a little bit of grief to get back in as it just did not want to grab the threads. A lot of patience and a couple light taps from the mallet and all is good. There were still signs of grease on each pivot (after about 1100 miles), no misthreaded bolts, no random washers... All told I think I avoided any of the QC issues that may plague these bikes.

Bottom line is this was an easy job, the bike is riding super quiet again, and no way will I avoid this maintenance in the future.
