Just ordered a Yeti Big Top frame and a Fox F29 Terralogic fork and the new AC 29'r tubeless wheels, going to put a CK headset and BB on it and XX cranks with XO shifters, front and rear derailuers and brakes. EA 90 post and EA 70 stem and bar. Frame will be here next week, as will everything but the fork.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Big Top, but after talking to Competitive Cyclist and they told me it doesn't ship w/ the SS dropouts...I called Yeti, and they told me they were $150+shipping extra....on top of a $1150 frame.

Decided to go with a Soul Cycle Dillinger for under $500 shipped, a fraction of the price..granted it doesnt have a tapered HT or carbon rear stays.

I have a BigTop with AM29er wheelset. I have had it since release. It is a rockin good bike. The wheels have been flawless.

Yeti got the geometry right on this frame and it rails. I just got back in from 4-hours on the bike. Got to ride a couple of FS as well this ride - a Specilized Epic 29er (carbon) and a Ventana El Rey. Both the FS's were easy on my ass - but the Yeti handles better IMO (in fairness the Ventana was too big for me a the Spec had a dodgy fork that had it's platform locked on full). That said I like the head angle of the BT better and balance (the Ventana felt balanced, the Specialized didn't).

I'll buy a FS soon- wish Yeti made a 29er right now. Thinking it might be a Giant as a filler until either Yeti or Turner cough up a 100mm 29er front/rear a lightish weight. You'll love your BigTop and AM Classic wheels.

FWIT I have ordered a set of the hellish expensive SS dropouts....

I am sold on 29ers, but am seriously considering an asr5c for my next bike because i love yeti. So, if they come out with a FS 29er in the next couple of years its gonna be mine. The BT is also a sweet ride, I just couldnt budget it when i got my last bike. Look forward to pics.
