Hey Jason, how's it going? I wish there was a cure for upgradeitis. What your seeing here is actually a prelude to another upgrade. I sold my Spicer framejh_on_the_cape said:that is looking so nice now. much better than before. if it rides as good as it looks, you have cured your upgradeitis!
check out the cape cod NEMBAfest on 9/12. www.nemba.orgKeithG said:Hey Jason, how's it going? I wish there was a cure for upgradeitis. What your seeing here is actually a prelude to another upgrade. I sold my Spicer frameand put all the fancy parts onto the Cove. The proceeds from the Spicer will be funding a Curtlo custom 29'er frame/fork.
If this 29'er thing works out for me, I'm afraid my Cove will be relegated to the basement just as my geared bikes have before it.
Are you going to be around between 9/4 and 9/12? I will be at Bay View campground with my family for the week and will be riding Otis.

1. What kind of cog are you running?
2. Any particular reason for the driveside QR lever orientation?
I'll be heading home on 9/12, so the NEMBAfest is out. Too bad.jh_on_the_cape said:check out the cape cod NEMBAfest on 9/12. www.nemba.org

will the curtlo be ready then? or is that a touchy question?

I'm not a real expert on distinguishing the differences from one steel fork to another. I have ridden a stock steel Bianchi fork, a Kona steel triple butted fork, and this Kelly and I can't really say one perfroms head and shoulders above the rest. I did use a Ti fork (XACD) for a while and that thing was more compliant (read really flexy), but scared me quite frankly. I found that a carbon bar, fatter tire and softer grips makes the difference for me riding rigid.Tom said:Nice Ride! I have a question about the kelly fork, since I'm in the market for a rigid fork, and kelly is near the top of the list. How does it ride? I've ridden some forks that have a decidedly "harsh" feel, and I was really hoping the kelly would be a little more forgiving. How do you like the fork, any great likes or dislikes?
thanks
