too early to post a permanent review, but initial impression is that it's just about perfect for DJ

burly as hell, its 32mm stanchions are much stiffer than the 30mm on the 02 Psylo SL w/Tullio it is replacing

designed for the rider who wants to keep things simple: no preload (air or spring), rebound that makes a difference, 80mm (or 100mm - pick one), hexlock thru axle

feels like the rebound setting also adjusts compression damping

I weigh 170+ w/o gear and ride a '04 P.2. Got the 06 Manitou Gold Label Series 2 in 80mm. So far, the stock springs (I believe there are two) are just right for jumping, but just a bit harsh for trail. They're light enough to not get in the way of bunnyhopping, etc.

More later, after they're broken in.

yea, on my 04 P.2 I've got a Stance static. more simple than your fork, no rebound adjustment (wouldent have to be adjusted anyway) no air. nothing at all....and yet its one of the best forks i've ever owned. its basically 90mm and I have really soft springs in mine. I was thinking of getting a goldlabel for my P.2, but decided on a travis 150 for my fully instead. next to come is probably 06 gold label !

If you've got the 100mm one, you can reduce it down. The 80mm is stuck at 80mm. Awesome fork, I've heard of a couple locking up, but doesn't seem to be a common problem. Manitou has always taken care of my shops and their customers.
