When we go out with trips the standard load is:
17 bikes (14 clients, one spare, two guides)
And 17 people in each bus (we'll have anywhere up to 4-5 bus loads each day).

Last night though the guys had so injurys etc and ended up driving 3 hours back from the trip with 23 bikes on the roof, 19 clients, 3 guides and a driver, along with 23 peoples cycling and personal gear in one bus. Thats a squeeze in our busses (17 seats each). I'll try and find some photos some time...

We had 6 on the roof, 4 on the rear rack, and 3 on the front bumper rack of a Nissan Pathfinder going up Monarch Crest about 15 years ago. Had to take another car to get all of the riders up, though.

I had 6 on the roof and 3 on the back of my old 1984 Honda Accord a few years back, but again, the car held more bikes than riders.
