Here is my semi faithful 87 Sammy. I think somebody was recently looking for an economical 4WD bike hauler. This will do the trick. You have to get creative with the bike mounts, and it doesn't hurt to add a cheap lock box. Upper 20's mpg in the city, close to 30 highway. Sorta drives like a go cart, except slower.

There is alot of interesting reading about the tipover article

Basically the editor told the driver if he couldn't get it to flip he would find someone who could. They drove it at 35mph and turned the wheel 270 degrees, and wow, it tipped. Lots of other cars have higher roll over tendencies, but they didn't get the exposure the Sammy did in Consumer Reports. I believe the lawsuit was settled just a few years ago.
I saw soooo many Sammies in Costa Rica chugging around on the delapidated backroads.
