Juicy 5 Grinding Noise

Just went for a ride and got pretty filthy, but not all that bad. Get off to push the bike up a hill and it starts making a horrible grinding noise in both brakes. Thought there must be sand or grit stuck in there, just gave them a spray with the hose and no change. Is it just because theyre wet?Theyre pretty new but have been out quite a few times and should be brokem in by now, seems to me that dh brakes should be able to cope with dirt and theyve been pretty dirty before

Take a look to make sure that everything is intact and that there's nothing gotten in between the pads and the pistons, but chances are it's just dirt that'll get worn away after the brake has been applied a few more times.

I've been riding where there is enough grit and mud that I can hear a grinding noise just riding (I have Juicy 5's now, but the same has happened with Hayes brakes I've had in the past). Usually a few quick and light brake pumps (not trying to stop) will clear the grit out and things are back to normal.

On some of the juicy brakes they come from the factory with the organic pads and they wear fast.I wore out a pair in 6 weeks.
But they work the best,quiet and with the best modulation.If they have worn enough the spring will come loose and twist around and get in the rotor.
