what's wrong with you? those two bikes are sickly.

jared is one funny guy. i got to ride with him at a couple races this year, like at telluride. he was hanging out at out pit because he's friends with luke strom on my same team.
on the gondola with those two, they were having the funniest conversations that i had ever heard.
sick looking bike. i think that rear triangle/ frame design might be fromwhen they first desgined the new yeti 303. now for the ones for sale there different, like the oens on the site. i think thats correct im not sure though

If you're referring to the colour, you're spot on.

I was kind of thinking the following.....

So because jared is a funny guy, his and tara's bikes aren't ugly?

Interesting how that works.

what are you talking about? just because i said he's funny doesn't have any affect on how the bikes actually are. i liked the 303 before i knew jared. i had a chance to ride around on Ross'.

and you can't just look at the paint and decide if it's ugly.

you have to look at:
engineering
welds
strength
suspension design
parts
tubing

and how the bike acutally rides.

have you actually ridden one?

Have you? i've been able to play a lil on one and its pretty sweet. Too bad they've had issue after issue on it

It is definitely a visually appealing suspension design...

But how does strength have anything to do with how the bike looks?

Ugliness, in the case of a bike, is a physical characterstic. A bike can perform beautifully, work like a charm, and make you ride 10X faster and still be ugly.

they are fantastic.

and the reason that they have had numerous models is because they are trying to perfect the bike so that is can be flawless when it is finally finished. it's an entirely new concept for suspension and is very complicated.

that's true, but paint is just a small aspect of the bike, the skin if you will. the paint does not make the bike. it may be a part of the ugly, but not much.

say, it had no paint at all or maybe your favorite color....

no matter what, i still love the bike.

First I make a comment about BOTH bikes being ugly. Then you ask what's wrong with me and go on about jared being a nice guy. Then I reiterate the ugly and you ask me if I've ridden one since that has something to do with ugly. Neat.

Teal and bright yellow together are always hideous. They were ugly in the 80's and they're ugly now. But regarding that nice stp gone texas......... tara llanes has pretty eyes.

And as far as yeti's craftmanship........what are you wearing? Is it cute?

Trying to perfect? maybe. More like trying to stop from breaking. It's gonna be a while before they get it 100% ( any my guess is their gonna have to reengineer the the shock shuttle because of the stress's put on the shock)

Side note : I believe the Yeti to be an amazind design and one day it will be 100% viable and i will gladly ride one.
man I would love to see that in person and ride it

Come to a MSC(www.racemsc.com) race in colorado. Yeti is based in good old golden so those frames are all over the place. You can crash at my place or camp with us if the race is farther away
