I didn't know that. That's good info. I've always thought the frame numbers were more for fit rather than function. I do like the Transition BR more in some respects, such as the seat stay design. It's more rectangular whereas the XLT is more rounded.dankist4x4 said:They are completely different bikes. Just because the suspension linkages look the same dose not mean they are the same. The Jamis is a trail bike where as the Bottle rocket has more of a laid back dirt jumper/slope style feel to it. The BR will take way more punishment them the XLT any day but it will not be the greatest bike for trail and XC riding. Don't just look the suspension linkages look at the #'s (head angle, top tube length, chain stay length, BB height, ect) that's were the real info on the bikes is.
