Nice ride. I too am trying to get as much AM out of mine as possible. I would like to try a new longer throw Fox DHX 7.875 x 2.25 to get about 5.6 inches of travel in the back. It will work, only I might have to fab a new cross brace to make a little room. Any thoughts? I use a Nixon up front with 20mm Azonic Outlaw wheelset.

i think its weird to run a single ring chainguide and a front derailleur. why have such an expensive rear derailleur mated to all the lx parts? maybe you coulda saved some of that $ from your RD to upgrade your brakeset.

It's not weird, it's plain stupid. You have to be a better observant.

Nice rides guys.
Nothing wrong with mixing up the components IMO. I run LX cranks, and they are stiff and strong. The LX shifters are plenty reliable......and that rear der is just plain sexy!!!!
Looking good!!!!!!!!!!

the am sl is 150mm but i can run it at 140-130mm but its not too long for a 150mm also the headtube angle turned out to be pretty good with a big fork

what do gravity droppers exactly do?
